Niels
Niels knew from an early age that he wanted to do something in health care. In his youth he played football where he saw the importance of the role of the physiotherapist among sportsmen and women.
This is why he headed to Ghent at the age of 18 to study for a Master in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy. He obtained this university degree with distinction in 2013.
During his studies Niels already had the feeling that he wanted to get closer to the core of someone’s complaint. When he came into contact with some chiropractors in his final year of training at the university, he immediately understood that this is what he wanted.
After his studies at Ghent University he went to Paris for four years to train as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Here his hunger and search for the core of the problem only increased and he participated in – outside his training as a chiropractor – over 1000 hours of seminars in various European countries.
In 2017, having obtained the diploma Doctor of Chiropractic, Niels went to Como in Italy to work alongside DC Jean Pierre Meersseman, founder and developer of the well-known Milan Lab of football club AC Milan, where he gained experience for 2.5 years. Here he treated athletes as well as office workers and labourers, each with their own specific complaints.
Niels is convinced that chiropractic offers a unique approach for each patient. This approach isn’t an alternative but is such as a general practitioner, dentist, orthopaedist, neurosurgeon, physiotherapist, midwife and many others.
